ANYONE FOR TEA?  RICHMOND NANTWICH LENDS A HAND TO ST LUKE’S HOSPICE

Quarterly afternoon teas hosted by Richmond Villages, St Joseph’s Way, Nantwich CW5 6LZ

The next tea is on 8th June, 3-5pm

Celebrating its 30 anniversary this year, St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice www.stlukes-hospice.co.uk in Winsford has been chosen by the residents and staff of the Richmond Nantwich retirement village to be their nominated charity for 2018.

Until recently supporters of the charity were able to enjoy visiting the hospice’s own cafe in Nantwich, however its recent closure meant this was no longer possible.  When word reached Richmond Villages they immediately offered to host the quarterly afternoon teas in their Garden Room to help raise funds for the 10-bed hospice.

The delicious afternoon teas have proved very popular, with the first two raising over £1,200 - the next one is on Friday 8th June from 3 - 5pm.  Held at Richmond Nantwich, St Joseph’s Way, CW5 6LZ, there is also the chance to win a fantastic prize in the raffle held each time.

The Village recently presented a cheque for £1,700 to the charity, handed over to Vickie Baddiley, community relations manager for the hospice by Richmond Nantwich resident Barbara Jackson, whose husband was cared for by St Luke’s.

Tickets are now on sale for the June event.  Costing £10 they are available from the Village Reception, St Luke’s shop in Pepper Street Nantwich or at the Hospice.
